Come Join the Rowing Club at NC State!

Aside from being a great way to get in shape, rowing is an excellent way to meet new people, and a chance to travel and compete all over the East Coast. The team travels as far south as Orlando (for Spring Break) and as far north as Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta.

Rowing is a year-round, co-ed sport with equal representation from both sexes. There are many misconceptions about the sport of rowing because it is not a mainstream collegiate sport. The first of many is that rowers require a lot of upper body strength. On the contrary, the best rowers have very strong legs and are typically above average in height. Don't let this prevent you form joining, though! Many members of our team have won against people much taller and stronger than themselves. Rowing takes mental strength as well as physical strength, and the team will help you get there.

For the Spring 2019, we will have several interest meetings for prospective members at the beginning of the semester.

Wednesday (01/09/2019) from 4-5 pm and one on Saturday (01/12/2019 )from 11 am - noon, both in Talley 3223. If you’re even slightly interested, come on by!

If neither of these times work for you, let us know and we’ll be happy to give your information about our first practices so you can come try it out!

click the "Open Form" tab below to fill out an interest form and we will send you a reminder email before the semester begins with all the dates and information; feel free to include any questions you may have about the club and/or the sport.

Go Wolfpack!
